Joseph Cobb

Joseph "Sean" Cobb, 56, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his home in Alton, IL.  He was born on September 30, 1967, in Saint Peters, MO to James A and Frances (Robertson) Cobb. He married Sherri Buck on February 10, 1995, in Edwardsville. She survives.

As a young man, Sean served his country in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg. Sean was a handyman and worked as a mechanic all his life. The last several years, he worked as a mechanic for Roberts Ford. He was passionate about cars and especially his Jeep. Sean loved spending time with friends and family.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Sherri Cobb; children, Rebecca Freytag, Timothy Freytag, Ronnie (Annie) Brokaw, Nicole Brokaw, Sybil Brokaw, Dalton (Brittany) Cobb, and Damion Cobb; brother Mike Cobb; sister-in-law, Amy (BJ) Grizzle; brothers-in-law, Jason (Liz Baum) Buck and Denny Buck; 22 grandchildren with another on the way; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James A Cobb; mother, Frances S Cobb; and brother, Patrick Cobb. 

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and professional services will be handled by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
