Jenrose M. Spinnenweber, nee Raetz, 96, of Belleville, IL, born May 28, 1929, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Mrs. Spinnenweber had worked as the chief deputy clerk for the US Bankruptcy Court, before her retirement. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and a member of the Zonta Club and American Business Women’s Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Spinnenweber, whom she married on November 20, 1947, and who died on October 6, 2004; a son, William Spinnenweber, Jr.; her parents, Eugene and Ottilia, nee Eschman, Raetz; a brother, Eugene Jr. (Hilda) Raetz; and two brothers-in-law, Donald Brauer and Richard Senoff.
Surviving are three daughters, Shelley (Dennis) Kennedy, Dede (Dawn Peach) Spinnenweber, and Deborah (Dale) Grosbach; a daughter-in-law, Tammi Spinnenweber;
seven grandchildren; Scott (Melinda) Kennedy, Carla (Mike) Hansen, Bryan Grosbach, Alan (Theresa) Grosbach, Melanie (Trent) Lawrence, Matthew Spinnenweber, and Douglas Spinnenweber; eight great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Jadyn, and Amber Kennedy, Derek Hansen, Galina and Emma Grosbach, and Hazel and Lily Lawrence, and two sisters, Carol Brauer and Marilyn Senoff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the National Kidney Foundation, or the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
