Jennifer J. Harbison-Brown, 75 of Edwardsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at home with her daughter at her side.
She was born December 7, 1948 in Herrin, IL. and dedicated most of her life to caring for the elderly. As an LPN, Jennifer worked in various Nursing Homes in Southern Illinois. After moving to the Alton area in 1988, Jennifer provided extraordinary, loving care for multiple older clients throughout the area.
Jennifer loved time spent with family at get togethers and holidays more than anything else. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother who always wanted the best for those she loved. She also enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, watching birds, and animals of all kinds.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Renee (Patrick) Chartrand; sons, Gary Allen and Gregory Emery; grandchildren, Brittany (Steven) Jakl, Amanda Woolverton, Nathan (Savannah) Woolverton, Michael (Ashley) Woolverton, Tori (Matthew) Ludwig, Joe Brown, Amie (Tony) Cross, Laura (Kevin) Gibbs, Daniel (Rachel) Chartrand, Tim (Amy) Chartrand, Nathan (Hananiah) Chartrand, MaryKathryn (fiance, LeAndre Douglas) Chartrand, as well as many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Furlong; mother, Beverly (Smith) Keller; first husband, Robert Harbison; second husband, James Joe Brown Sr. and a step son, Joe Brown, Jr and his wife Georgia.
