Janie Greene, 72, passed away at 8am on Friday, October 24, 2025, at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1952, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of the late James and Gayle (Martin) Brewner.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Lauren and Daniel Reed of Glen Carbon, three grandchildren: Owen, Griffin, Queen, who were the light of her life, two sisters and a brother in law: Nancy Johnstone of Atlanta, Georgia, Kathi and Brian McGarry of Marion, Illinois, a special niece: Brennan McGarry, a special nephew and his wife: Sean and Cristina McGarry, a niece: Julie Harper Brown, and many other extended family and friends.
Jane worked in early childhood education and loved reading. Her greatest joy in life was her role of being a mom and a Nana. She will be missed tremendously.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Jimmy Brewner.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
