James Kirn

James (Jim) Carl Kirn, aged 78, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Alton Rehabilitation and Therapy Center. He was born on March 31, 1947.

Jim was the oldest of five siblings, born to Carl Kirn Jr. and Marian Kirn (Hagen). He is survived by his brothers Bill, David (Mary), and Jerry, as well as his brother Danny. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Ann.

Jim is remembered by his twin daughters, Carla and Gary Deck of Pontoon Beach, and Marla and Dan Snyders of Godfrey. He was a grandfather to five grandchildren: Marinda and Kaleb McGee of Godfrey, Garrett and Kara Deck of Alton, and Bryley Snyders (Cody Hanner) and Kylee Snyders (Matt Gauen), both of Alton. Jim also leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Kindryl and Katalaya McGee, Mason, Wrenleigh, and Garrison Deck, and Kaysen Hanner.

Jim will be remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels on October 22, 2025, from10:00 -11:00 am. Graveside service to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
