Jack McCann, 84, passed away at 10:36 am Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his home.
He was born on March 22, 1931 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Rex Martin McCann and Lucille (Shell) Leopold.
He married Carolyn MacMurdo on June 16, 1951 in Springfield, Illinois. She survives.
Jack was owner/operator of McCann Concrete Products in Dorsey since 1975. He was an active member of the NRA.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, he is survived by a daughter, Victoria Bothman of Edwardsville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick McCann and Christopher and Stephanie McCann all of Staunton; five grandsons and one granddaughter; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Keeny of Springfield.
Burial will be private with the family at a later date.
Memorials may be made to a no kill shelter for animals.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto will be in charge of arrangements.
