Ida Landolt

Ida C. Landolt, 98, passed away at 10 am, Monday, February 1, 2021, at Elmwood Nursing and Rehab in Maryville.

She was born December 8, 1922, in Old Ripley, IL, the daughter of Ben D. and Catherine "Katie" Elizabeth (Scheu) Mollett.

A longtime member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Hartford, she had served as the church treasurer for over 43 years.  Ida had been a member of the Hartford Senior Citizens, a treasurer for the Alton Chapter of AARP, and a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.

She worked in the Tannery for International Shoe Company in Hartford for a brief time after relocating to Hartford in 1947 from the Greenville area.

On February 11, 1947, in Wood River, she married Herbert Landolt.  He died on September 26, 1998.

Surviving are a son, Dale (Elizabeth) Landolt of Pocahontas, IL; daughter-in-law, Beverly Landolt of St. Charles, MO; five grandchildren, Derek (Erica) Landolt, Renae (Jeremy) Kenny, Jay (Abbey) Landolt, Adrianne (Max) Norris, Matthew Miller; 10 great-grandchildren, Catherine, Ellen, Colin, Donavan, Henry, Avery, Kodak, Sailor, Kaitlin and Aubree; brother, Carroll (Frances) Mollett of Greenville; sister, Alice Schlieper of Hartford; sister-in-law, Marlene Mollett of Old Ripley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Landolt; seven brothers, Ronald, Charles, Kenneth, Lloyd, William, Eldon, and Orville Mollett; and two sisters, Opal Matejac and Mae Sternes.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm, Friday, February 5 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River with visitation continuing until 6 pm.  Rev. Bruce Baumgartner will officiate.

A private burial will be in Brown Cemetery in Old Ripley.

Memorials may be made to Hartford United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
