Harry Huse

Harry Joseph "Butch" Huse Jr, 80, of Carlinville, IL, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:33 am. 

He was born December 5, 1944, in St. Louis, MO to Harry Joseph Huse Sr & Laura Elizabeth Craig Huse.  He was a graduate of Carlinville High School Class of 1963. He married Carol Anne Filippone on June 9, 1964. They later divorced. 

Harry worked at McDonnell Douglas, Woods-Palsen, Dickey-John Corporation, and Hope School. Harry was a member of Baptist and Full Gospel churches. He faithfully lived by the Mark 16:15 verse where Jesus said "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation". While traveling on various mission trips, Harry shared the Gospel of  Jesus Christ to countless individuals. He strived every day to make a positive impact in the lives of others, especially his family.

He was a devoted Dad, Grandpa, and Papa. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing and the St. Louis Cardinals. Those that knew him as "Butch" would be able to share countless stories of his shenanigans. He thoroughly enjoyed being a prankster. 

He is survived by his children, Vicki (Jeff) Donaldson of Carlinville, IL, Lynda (Alan) Crayon of Orlando, FL, Lori (Bruce) Loveless of Carlinville, IL, spiritual son, Tony Osborn of Benld, IL, grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Miller, Jordan (Chandra) Donaldson, Monique (Josh) Crayon Mitchell, Anika Crayon, Levi (Taylor) Loveless, Valerie Loveless Fretz, great-grandchildren, Halle Miller, Ollie Donaldson, Scarlett Donaldson, Hank Miller, Emmie Donaldson, Brett Fretz, Annalia Fretz, Ella Loveless and 4 great grand-puppies. 

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother in law, Jeanine and Gene Bellm. 

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with memorial services to follow on Saturday at the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville, IL. 

Memorials are suggested to Royal Family Kids Camp at Carlinville First Church or Illinois Valley Head Start Program.
