Gregory E. Hartsock, 60 of Brighton, died unexpectedly at 12:28 P.M. on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.
He was born to the late Dale L. & Edna R. (Taul) Hartsock on March 17, 1955 in Wood River, Illinois.
Greg retired as a mold maker from Hutchinson Foundry. He was a member of the Tri-County Rod & Gun Club, volunteered for the Brighton-Betsey Ann Association, coached Little League softball. He loved fishing, watching his kids and grandkids play sports. Greg was a very loving husband, dad and grandfather.
He married Denise C. (DeMattos) Hartsock on September 9, 1978 in Brighton, Illinois. She survives and resides in Brighton.
Also surviving are 2 daughters and significant others; Kristine Hartsock & Dan Fitzgerald of Moro, Allison M. Hartsock & Kristen N. Stanley of East Alton, 2 grandchildren; Eli and Madelyn, 1 sister and her husband; Karen & Don Osmoe of White City, IL., 1 brother and his wife; Randy & Joan Hartsock of Brighton
Memorial visitation will be held at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.
