Gregory Cook

Gregory "Greg" "Cookie" Keith Cook, 63, of Bethalto, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at his residence under the care of BJC Hospice.

He was born in Alton, IL, on January 25, 1962, the son of William Truman and Madeline Joy (Clymer) Cook. He was formerly married to Barbara (Walker) Cook of Roxana.

Greg worked through Local Carpenter Union 664 (previously known as Local 377) for 33 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and fast cars. He was a gear head by heart. Most of all, Greg loved spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his two daughters, Heather Cook of Bethalto and Emily (Calvin) Davis of Bethalto; a sister, Susan (Paul) Triplett of Dorsey; two nephews, Brandon & Chris Triplett and six grandchildren, Aaron "AJ" Allen, Hunter Allen, Parker Cook, Tessa Cook, Callie Davis, and Walker Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4 pm until time of celebration of life at 6:30 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
