Gilbert J. Campbell, 70, passed away on October 22, 2021, at St. Joe’s Hospital in St. Charles. He was born on July 18, 1951, to Gilbert F. & Barbara V. (Honey) Campbell in Wood River, IL. He was a US Air Force veteran. He married Denise Tucker in 1984 in Jerseyville.
He is survived by his wife: Denis Campbell of Jerseyville; his children: Gilbert James “Jamie” Campbell & Johnny Campbell of Des Moines, Iowa; stepson: Timothy (Jaimi) Swarringim of Greenfield; his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Angie, Curt, and Leo Campbell.
Gib is preceded in death by his parents, stepson: Rickie Swarringim, and grandson: Brandon Ehrheart. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
Per his wishes, he was cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
