Gerald Roberts

Gerald Allan "Jerry" Roberts, 81, of Gillespie, IL, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO on Saturday, September 18, 2021. 

He was born August 9, 1940, in Litchfield, IL to Harry O. Roberts & Tilley A. (Selsavage) Roberts.  He married Theressa Ann (Logsdon) Roberts on January 4, 1961, in Gillespie, IL.  He was a retired steelworker for Alton Steel.  Gerald was an avid Cardinal fan, woodworker, bottle collector, walker, and fisherman.  He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. 

He is survived by his spouse, Theressa Roberts of Gillespie, IL, daughters, Julie Ann Tesio of Wesley Chapel, FL, Tracy Hostettler (spouse, Chris) of Gillespie, IL, Cindy Bertolino (spouse, Ron) of Gillespie, IL, sons, Gerald Allan Roberts Jr. (spouse, Emily Hofstatter) of West Hartford, CT, Derek Roberts of Gillespie, IL, Cory Roberts of Gillespie, IL, 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister, Carol Hubert (spouse, Gerald) of Florida, brothers-in-law, Melvin Logsdon (spouse, Liz) of Springfield, IL, David Logsdon (spouse, Linda) of Nebraska, Larry Logsdon (spouse, Jane) of China. 

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Shirley King. 

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Funeral services are Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 11:00 am at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL.  Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.
