Georgeann Cassidy, 66, longtime friend of Bill W., passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at her home.
Born July 4, 1959 in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Robert and Betty “Billie” (Kunkle) Ogg.
Georgeann worked as a CNA in the home healthcare field for several years. She loved dogs and shopping. Thoroughly embracing the “hippie” lifestyle, she loved tie-dye and the color purple. Most of all, she loved her grandson Cayden, her most favorite boy in the whole wide world.
Survivors include her daughters, Kayla (Shaun Brennan) Reynolds of St. Louis and Erika (Daniel) Biciocchi of Tennessee; two grandsons, Cayden and Colton; four brothers; and best friends, Martha, Donny, and Bruce.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 20 at the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349, 730 Wesley Drive in Wood River. Please wear your favorite tie-dye or purple clothing.
