Gayle Boschert

Gayle E. (nee: Naylor) Boschert, 75, of Edwardsville, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 30, 1950, in Wood River, IL, the daughter of Richard LeRoy and Doris Mabel (Guile) Naylor. She married Richard "Rick" Boschert in Meadowbrook on September 29, 1975. He survives.

Gayle worked at Beverly Farm as a coordinator for over 35 years before her retirement.  She was a very caring person who went above and beyond for others. Gayle had a love for animals and was an animal whisperer. She was a talented artist and crafter. Some of her favorite hobbies included sewing, cooking, singing, and shopping. Most of all, Gayle cherished her time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her many grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Rick, she is survived by her children, Mike (Peggy) Johnson, Leslie (Tony) Hopkins, Lisa Unverzagt, and Catherine (Mark) Hynes; a sister, Maria (Stan) Clements; 34 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Boschert; and two brothers, George C. Naylor, and Richard H. Naylor.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 4 to 7 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Service will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10 am, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel with Father Tom Liebler as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow.
