Freeda Alberta Bolin, 90, passed away at her home at 8:17 pm Wednesday July 3, 2013.
She was born on July 17, 1922 in Kennett, MO the daughter of John & Mary (Fox) Wills.
Freeda married Charles Monroe Bolin on November 8, 1941 in Brentwood, MO and he preceded her in death on August 3, 2001.
She worked for the East Alton School District and the Edwardsville School District in the cafeteria and also worked at the East Alton Dairy Store.
Freeda was a member of the Moro Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and deacon for many years and loved to quilt, play golf, read and was a very good cook.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Joseph & Janette Bolin of Chatham, IL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & John Smith of Salem, IL, and Linda & Darrell Pape of Dorsey; eight grandchildren and spouses, Jessica & Derek Moss, Amanda Bolin, Robert & Lea Ann Smith, Rene’ & Master Sergeant Jeff Gramlick, Sara Pape, Amber and Kade Cole and Scott Pape; six great grandchildren, Leighton and Olivia Moore, Jackson and Meredith Smith, and Joshua and Caleb Gramlick; and one sister, Margie Mayberry of St. Louis, MO; and a special friend of the family and caregiver, Marge Thompson of Sawyerville, IL
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Brent & Laura Bolin; and seven siblings, Edna and Bessie Brown, Jessie Southard, Kelcey, Onice, Maurice and Goldie Wills.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday July 5, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Visitation will continue from 10 am until time of funeral services at 11 am Saturday July 6, 2013 at Moro Presbyterian Church.
Burial will follow at Moro Presbyterian Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Moro Presbyterian Church.
