Frederick Schuetz

Frederick C. Schuetz, age 83, of Brighton, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016, at his home.Fred was born November 7, 1932, in Alton, the son of Lawrence and Ilah (Wilson) Schuetz. He married Frieda Sivia on January 1, 1953, at Upper Alton Baptist Church and she survives.Fred was a Scout Leader and enjoyed scouting. He had retired from Olin Corp. where he had worked as an electrician for over forty years.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.In addition to his wife, Frieda; he is survived by four children and their spouses, Terry Roettgers of Washington, MO, Kathy and Herb Ralston of Bunker Hill, Susan McAfee of Sea Brook, IL, and Clint Schuetz of Brighton; a daughter-in-law, Anne Schuetz of Brighton; a brother and his wife, Don and Nettie Schuetz of Brighton; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lawrence; a brother, Harvey; and a sister, Millie.Visitation will be held Friday, November 4, 2016, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.A private family burial will take place at a later date.On-line condolences and guestbook may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com.
