Eva Vinyard

Eva Lurene Vinyard, 91, of Brighton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1934, in Livingston, KY, the daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Rorer) Smith.

Eva married James Vinyard on May 11, 1950, in Murphysboro, IL. He preceded her in death in 1992.

She retired from Olin Corp after working in their shipping department for 10 years. Eva had previously spent 29 years at Alton Illinois Glass Works before its closing. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and attended First Baptist Church in Brighton. Eva enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, drawing, and a good yard sale.

Eva is survived by two daughters, Sandra Britt of Godfrey, IL, and Jenny (Danny) Lamparter of Grafton, IL; six grandchildren, Kelly (Bruce) Anderson, Angie (Seth) Stinnett, Laura (Daniel) Gray, Jason (Elizabeth) Lamparter, Mindy Shelton, and Ashley Lamparter; eleven great grandchildren, Paul Rainey, Sydney Miller, Wyatt Miller, Owen Gray, Gunner Gray, Logan Lamparter, Olivia Lamparter, James Shelton, Peyton Brown, Dylan Lamparter, and Lyla Blackburn; one great great grandson Blake Rainey; two brothers Paul Smith and David Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son in law Paul Britt; grand daughter Ashley Lamparter; four siblings, Earl Smith Jr., Russell Smith, Guy Smith, and Virginia Blank.

Services will be private with a burial at Brighton Cemetery.
