Eunice Raymond

Eunice "Jean" Raymond entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior with much sadness felt by her family and friends on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the age of 94.

Jean was born July 22, 1931, in Carlinville, IL to Louis Lenzi & Mary Chiappini Lenzi.  She married Carl H Raymond on August 29, 1948 in Chesterfield, IL. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2016.

Jean serviced actively in the Community in PTA (President), Band Boosters, Boy Scouts, and in many other ways. She was on the Township Board for 8 years and she and her husband Carl worked as Election Judges for many years. She retired as manager from Computer Service Corp. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Woodburn in Bunker Hill, IL and a 50 year members of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Jean and Carl enjoyed traveling in Europe and in all of the other US states. Jean and Carl's greatest accomplishment was their ability with the help of other village residents to obtain city water for the Village of Woodburn through their long and challenging 3 year endeavor. Jean's love for music was surpassed only by her love for family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Michael D. Raymond of Bethalto, IL, several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 68 years, brother, brother, Louis J. Lenzi Jr.  

Friends may call on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Funeral services are Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11:30 am at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill. Burial will be at Woodburn Cemetery, Woodburn, IL. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church, Woodburn, IL.
