Eric Ryan Fairfax, 48, of Alton, IL passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at 9:34 a.m. with family by his side. Eric was born in Jerseyville, IL on January 21, 1976 to the late Randall L. Fairfax and Nancy Jo (Dougherty) Leady.
He worked as a machinist at Sunnen for many years. Eric loved spending his time outdoors fishing and hunting. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching sports, especially football and baseball, his favorite teams were the New England Patriots, the New York Yankees, and the Florida Gators.
In his younger years Eric had a love for music, he loved to rap. He made sure to have a studio in his house so he and his friends could record.
Eric loved many things but he loved nothing more than his children. He took great pride in watching his children play and learn.
He is survived by his four children Zarion Felder, Baya Fairfax, Marley Fairfax, Larissa Fairfax, his mother Nancy Leady and father-in-law Mark Leady, his brother Brad Kimble, and his sister Jami Fairfax.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday October 19, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will immediately follow. Memorials may be made to Eric’s Children.
