Edward Walter Gleason, Jr., 64, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home in Cottage Hills.
He was born in Alton on January 24, 1957 to Edward Walter, Sr. and Ellen Nora (McClenahan) Gleason.
Edward married Janis Giffin in Godfrey on September 23, 1975.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Edward Walter Gleason, III of Cottage Hills, and Christopher (Amy) Gleason of Cottage Hills; three daughters, Joni (Steve) Trimm of Carlinville, Kristy (Michael) Stewart of Cottage Hills, and Roni Jo Gleason of Cottage Hills; six grandchildren, Christopher Gleason, Jr., Taylor Gleason, Layla Gleason, Austin Gleason, Hayden Trimm, and Ethan Trimm; a brother, Butch Gleason of Wood River; and three sisters, Nancy Cherry of Cottage Hills, Mattie Price of Cottage Hills, and Mildred Zappa of East Alton.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John Gleason, Walter Gleason, Freddie Gleason, and Railton Gleason; and three sisters, Alma Gleason, Louise Gleason, and Lucille Robinson.
