It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Allan Dunlap of Brighton, IL. announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of 74.
Wayne was born in Charleston, West Virginia and later moved to Alton, IL. Wayne retired from Olin Corporation after 30+ year tenure. When Wayne wasn’t spending time with his family, his past times included bowling and golf. Wayne was an avid bowler and bowled an 800 series. His favorite place to golf was Rolling Hills Golf Course in Godfrey, IL, where he made lifelong friends. He once got a hole in one, twice in the same week with the same ball.
Wayne is survived by sons, Wayne Dunlap II, Chris (Jacinda) Dunlap, and Jesse Dunlap; Grandchildren, Adam Brown, Rileigh Dunlap, Paytyn Wilson, Carmyn (Jeremy) Schaaf, Christian Gust; Great-grandchild, Keaton Brown, and Havik Brown; niece Wendy Shewmake; nephew David Dunlap; and additional family and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Brenda (Bushnell) Dunlap; father, Jesse Junior Dunlap Sr.; mother, Betty Marie Dunlap; sisters, Karen Ann Dunlap, Peggy Sue Dunlap; brothers, Jesse Dunlap Jr., Delbert Douglas Dunlap; niece Alisha Shewmake; nephew Michael Dick.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home, Godfrey, IL.
