Dorothy Blevins

Dorothy Ann (Idleman) Blevins, 91, of Bunker Hill, IL, died at Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, IL on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

She was born November 20, 1933, in Purcell, OK to Phineas Leroy Idleman & Jessie Hawkins Idleman.

She married Joe M Blevins on March 28, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2017. She was a homemaker.

Dorothy was a seamstress and excellent cook. She enjoyed gardening, reading and playing dominoes. Dorothy loved people and never knew a stranger.

She is survived by her children, Dana (Steve) Stagner of Bunker Hill, IL, Robin (Jon) Payne of Bunker Hill, IL, Lee Ann (Vince) Stineman of Bethalto, IL, grandchildren, Michelle (Payne) Zimmer, Jamie (Stagner) (David) Kemper, Nicholas (Jamie) Payne, Julie (Stagner) Freeman, Emily Stineman, great-grandchildren, Ty Zimmer, Lola Zimmer, Gracelyn Payne, Colton Payne, Koen Kemper, Kace Kemper, Riley Freeman, Denton Payne, Kruz Kemper, and many special nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, great-grandson, Tate Zimmer, brothers, Cecil, LeRoy, Wes, Bill, James, sisters, Helen, Grace, Lou, and Ellie.

Friends may call on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Christ Life Church of Bunker Hill from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Funeral services are Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Christ Life Church of Bunker Hill. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Bunker Hill, IL.
