Doris Donaldson

Doris Marie Donaldson, 98, of Gillespie, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 6:34 am.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Woodburn, IL to Orville Kelly & Celia Dillon Kelly. She married Albert "Muzzy" Donaldson on June 30, 1951 in Gillespie, IL. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2005.  

She was retired after having been a kitchen supervisor for Community Unit School District 7. Doris was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Gillespie. Doris was an avid Cardinals and Miners fan. She was also a proud parent, grandparent and great grandparent.  

She is survived by her son, William "Kenny" (Judy) Donaldson of Annapolis, MO, grandchildren, John Allan (Margo) Miller, Jeremiah (Rusti) Miller, Kevin (Hannah) Kozemczak, great-grandchildren, Chase Miller, Tristan Miller, Grace Miller, Brody Miller, Michael Kozemczak, Madison  Kozemczak, great great grandchild, Nash Miller, siblings, Freida Malloy, Marjorie Taylor, Joe Kelly, Jim Kelly.  

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son, James Donaldson, siblings, Arlene Griva, Ellen Clemonds, Edna Audi, Betty Heck, Mary Lou Jubelt, John Kelly, Orville Kelly, Jr. and Bill Kelly.  

Friends may call on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services are Friday, May 15, 2026 at 12:00pm at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.  Memorials are suggested to Gillespie Sports or Gillespie Benld Area Ambulance Service.
