Donald “Don” Diveley, Jr., 61, passed away at 10:47pm on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born on May 14, 1957, in Wood River, the son of the late Donald “Bud” and Beverly “Bev” (Burton) Diveley. He married the former Roxane Schoonover on May 14, 1979, in Staunton, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter: Holly Diveley of Worden, one son: Gregory Diveley of Old Ripley, a sister and brother in law: Joyce and Larry Ausmus of Edwardsville, two brothers and sisters in law: Steve and Trisha Diveley of Bethalto, Mark and Barb Diveley of Wood River, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Don was employed for over thirty years at the refinery, where he retired from Phillips 66 as an operations foreman. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he was a torpedoman’s mate. He was a member of the NRA and the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Christopher Diveley.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans.
