Denny Turner

Denny (McAfoos) Turner, 88, of Bunker Hill, IL went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11:26 p.m.  She was born January 19, 1936, in Alton, IL to Herbert McAfoos & Lucille Cole McAfoos.  She graduated from Alton High School in January of 1955 and married Cecil M. Turner on March 12, 1955 in Alton, IL.  They just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.  Not only was she a wonderful wife to Cecil, Denny was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.  Denny was a faithful believer of Jesus Christ as her lord and savior.  She spent many years in child evangelism, teaching children the path to becoming a Christian.  She is survived by her spouse, Cecil M. Turner of Bunker Hill, IL, children, Carey (Mike Tomlanovich) Eveans of Englewood, FL, Tabitha (Jim) Golike of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister, Lauren (Tom) Miller of Godfrey, IL, brother, Wendell (Sue) McAfoos of Alton, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.  Denny was preceded in death by her parents, children, Cole Turner, Kim Turner, grandson, Cole Brandon Turner, sister, Sue LaMarsh, brothers, Ollie McAfoos, Dwight McAfoos, Bill McAfoos, Stan McAfoos and Allen McAfoos.  Friends may call on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home Bunker Hill, IL from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services are Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill, IL.  Burial will be at Woodburn Cemetery, Woodburn, IL.  Memorials are suggested to Woodburn Bible Church.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.  Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
