Dennis Allan Shasteen, age 72 of Collinsville, IL, born October 20, 1949, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on January 26, 2022.
Dennis was a 1967 Collinsville High School graduate. He was the former owner of Shasteen Construction and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Genevieve (nee Galinat) Shasteen; his wife, Carolyn (nee Bono) Shasteen; and a granddaughter, Izabelle Shasteen.
Surviving are his two sons, Josh (Chandra) Shasteen of Potosi, MO and Nicholas Shasteen of Collinsville, IL; three grandchildren, Laila, Serah, and Jared; two brothers, Larry Shasteen of Collinsville and Gary (Nina) Shasteen of Caseyville, IL.
Visitation will be 9 – 11 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL. Due to current state restrictions, masks are required to be worn.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
Memorials may be made for the grandchildren’s college fund and will be received at the funeral home.
