Debbie S. Dillinger, 68, of Bethalto, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, day, at 3:30 pm, at her residence.
She was born in Alton on July 3, 1956, the daughter of Melvin B. and Dorothy J. (Pilger) Spurgeon. Debbie married Jeffery L. Dillinger at NAS Alameda in California on April 20, 1980.
Debbie was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church of East Alton. She was also very active with Girl Scouts of America and PTA. She enjoyed singing, listening to music, being around children, and spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her husband, Jeff, she is survived by a son, Josh Dillinger of Bethalto; her siblings, Connie Delehanty, Vickie Hollenback, Melveen (Ron) Wilman, Sharon (Jerry) Wilson, Tina (James) Overbey; a grandson, Cameron Dillinger; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Natasha Dillinger.
Per her wishes cremation rites have been entrusted to Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.
