Dawn M. Hinxman, age 82 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, December 21, 2025, at her home in Highland, IL.
She was born on Wednesday, April 28, 1943, in Springfield, MA, the daughter of William and Marjorie Beals, nee Warner).
Dawn was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from high school there. She worked as a waitress in a restaurant she and her husband owned, as well as a speaker factory. Dawn was a professional singer in nightclubs. She lived in Georgia in 1969, then moving to Florida in 1970, where she started a Mobile Home business for 25 years. Dawn also had a custodial business she ran.
She retired as a lead custodian in the school system in Martin County in 2014. She then moved to Highland in 2018. Dawn enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, photography and feeding squirrels at the park. She loved cats and collected NASCAN miniatures and decorative measuring spoons.

- Sister - Cheryl Beals
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
