David E. Schenk, 66, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at his home.
Born March 9, 1959 in Rosewood Heights, he was a son of Eugene Schenk and Donna Lee (Watson) Schenk.
David worked for over 25 years as a riverboat pilot for Osage Marine Services in St. Louis. He enjoyed watching TV and watching the kids play video games. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and also loved the Kansas City Chiefs.
He married Melinda “MeMe” Harper Dec. 29, 1995, and they shared nearly 30 years of marriage. She survives in Meadowbrook, along with three sons, Richard Schenk, David Schenk, and Daniel Schenk; three sisters, Cathy Staley of Ohio, Karen Elick of Moro, and Ruth Muick of Troy, IL; and his brother, Keith Schenk of Springfield, IL; and other extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be at Paynic Home for Funerals on Tuesday, Oct. 14 from noon until services begin at 1 p.m.
