David Joseph Fitzgerald, Jr., 77, of Cottage Hills, IL, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Sun. Nov. 4, 2018 at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to the late David Joseph & Mary (Tehan) Fitzgerald Sr.
He and Barbara Anne Dolde were married in St. Louis in June 1965. She preceded him in death Jan. 14, 2007.
David was a US Marine Corps and US Army Vietnam veteran and a member of the American Legion. He retired from Maytag as a punch press operator after many years of service.
Survivors include his dear friends and family, including: Joyce Candela of Manchester, MO, Michael Walker of Danville, IL and Thomas Walker; as well as being ?Uncle Dave? to: Robert (Stephanie) Candela, Dennis Candela and Jennifer (Christopher) Galloway and their families.
Graveside services with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery are pending.
