David Ehlers

David Lee Ehlers Jr, 48, of Bunker Hill, IL, died at his residence on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 8:53 am. He was born September 16, 1977, in Alton, IL to David Lee Ehlers Sr & Vickie LynnWiley Ehlers.

He married Shirley Marie Lee Stinson Ehlers on December 23, 2025 in Bunker Hill, IL. He was a laborer. David was a member of the Bunker Hill Volunteer Fire Department and an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Ehlers, spouse, Shirley Ehlers, daughter, Rebecca (Wyatt) Schlechte Ehlers, step grandchildren, Matthew Haines, Garrett Haines, sister, Christina (Rick) Wilkinson,nieces and nephews, Allison Wilkinson, Austin Wilkinson and Katie Badolato.

David was preceded in death by his father and step son, Cody Haines.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Bunker Hill, IL.
