Darrell “Hank” D. Goacher Sr., 82, passed away at 7:40 pm Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton, IL.
He was born on July 19, 1929, in Alton, IL, the son of Everett and Gladys (Hopper) Goacher.
On October 16, 1948 he married Melba Lee Wallace in Bethalto. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2011.
He is survived by four children and their spouses; Jeanie & Clyde Partridge of Park Hills, MO, Darrell D. Jr. & Judy Goacher of East Alton, Carl Wayne & Janet Goacher of Queen Creek, AZ, and Teresa Leamon and Frank Styles of Cottage Hills; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; one sister and her husband, Glenda and Merle Apitz of Seattle WA; and one brother and his wife, William and Mary Goacher of Hillsboro, IL.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by, a son, Richard Lee Goacher, one sister, Alice Goacher, and one brother Eugene Goacher.
Visitation will be from 4 pm until time of funeral services at 7 pm Thursday, May 3, 2012
at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
