Cynthia Ellen Taylor, 72, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, at her home with her husband of 53 years.
Born April 24, 1953, in Jerseyville, IL, to Louis and Eleanor (Michalek) Robeen. Raised on a family farm in Michael, IL, Cindy was the youngest of six children. As a mother of three, grandmother of five, and great grandmother of one, Cindy was the heart of the family.
Cindy married David J. Taylor on June 10, 1972. She graduated from Calhoun High School, class of 1971. Cindy worked for the Aldi corporation for 26 years after being a stay at home mom for many years. She then went on to work at the Marquette High School cafeteria. Cindy was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Cindy has a passion for several activities such as yard saling, horseback riding, reading, dancing, shopping for special antiques, playing cards, and watching ball games. She loved spending time with her family and they will all miss her dearly.
Cynthia is survived by son David B. (Deneen) Taylor, and daughters Amanda (Vance) Wohlert, and Ashley (Brian) Londre; grandchildren, Jacob, Savannah, Braden, Eleanor, and Thomas; great-grandchild Clementine.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Hardin.
Burial will follow at St. Norbert's Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey, IL.
