Cristy L. Hopkins, 69, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at her home.
Born Nov. 9, 1954 in Alton, she was a daughter of John and Naomi (Lefler) Gray.
Cristy worked for many years at Olin Winchester. She endured many hardships in life, but she always came through them with a positive attitude. She loved riding her Harley-Davidson and attended the Blessing of The Bikes each year. She also enjoyed hummingbirds. Computers and modern technology were definitely not her favorites.
Cristy loved her family very much. Surviving are her loving siblings, John (Joyce) Gray and Jim (Pam) Gray, all of Rosewood Heights, Ed (Deb) Gray of Dorsey, Susie Deck of Noblesville, IN, Mark (Denise) Gray of Godfrey, and Mike (Chris) Gray of Alton; and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Polly Slocumb Dickerson; her husbands, Robert Reddish and Michael Hopkins; and her brother-in-law, Richard Deck.
The family will hold a Celebration of Cristy’s Life on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Alton-Wood River Sportsman’s Club at 11 a.m.
