Craig Bandy

Craig Bandy, age 65, of Eldred, Il. died Monday (November 11, 2024) near Hillview, Il.

He was born October 1, 1959, in Los Angeles, Ca., son of the late Bill and Rebecca Price Bandy.

He married Julie Whited on June 4, 1982, in Alton, IL., and she survives.

Also surviving are sons, Michael Bandy (Janice McMillin) of Hillview, Il., and Mitchel Bandy (Megan) of Rockbridge, Il.; four grandchildren, Charlie, Colton, Ava, and Merida; a sister, Jill Reynolds of Chatham, Il.; and nephews, Shane and Adam.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glen and Rebecca Whited.

Craig was a 1977 graduate of Carrollton High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. He was employed for over 30 years with Specialty Waste Management in Alton, IL. He loved coaching Little League Baseball in younger years. Craig loved hunting and fishing, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday (November 15, 2024) at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton, Il. 

Private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bill Bandy Foundation and sent to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, 108 5th St. Carrollton, Il. 62016. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.airsman-hires.com.
