Georgia M. Jeffreys, 81, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Willow Rose Rehab & Health Care Center in Jerseyville.She was born January 10, 1936, in Mississippi, the daughter Vernon and Myrtle (Lanier) Brooks. Georgia married Charles A. Jeffreys, Jr. on May 26, 1951, in East Alton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2012.Georgia was a member of New Wine Family Church in Wood River. She enjoyed watching the home shopping networks, cooking shows, especially “The Pioneer Woman”, and many other shows. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Bruce Stewart of Shepherdsville, KY; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Julia Jeffreys of Brighton, IL; six grandchildren, Jeremy Jeffreys and his wife, Alicia, Ryan Jeffreys, Amanda McDonald, Nicholas Schaper, and Shawna and Holly Stewart; nine great-grandchildren, Brady, Adriana, Abby, Brooklyn, Erica, Arya, Makenzie, Carter, and Tanner; one sister, Betty Dristell of Cottage Hills; one brother, Raymond Brooks of Bunker Hill; and a brother and sister in law, Ron and Flo Jeffreys.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; great-great grandson, Parker Stewart; brothers and sisters in law, Bill and Dody Brooks, and John and Billie Dawn Brooks.Visitation will be from 11: 30 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Daryl Dolbee officiating.Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.Memorials may be made to New Wine Family Church in Wood River.An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com .
