Colden Wellhausen

Colden Joseph Charles Wellhausen, infant son of Blake Charles Matthew and Paige Elizabeth (Swan) Wellhausen, died at 7:29 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Colden was born June 19, 2025 in St. Louis, MO. 

Along with his parents he is survived by a sister, Aubriella Wellhausen of Bethalto, and grandparents, Sunshine and Joseph Lee of Staunton, April and Tony Swan of Hamburg and paternal grandfather, Shawn Wellhausen; his Aunt Mariah and Dillon Shewmake of Alton, Aunt Skylar of Brussels, Aunt Morgan of Hamburg, Uncle Jay Kelley of Wood River, Uncle Willie Kelley of Staunton, Aunt Jessica and Joe Lewis of Hardin, Aunt Morgan Swan of Hamburg, Aunt Nicki Swan of Hardin, Aunt Stephanie and Jeff Breden of Hardin, Aunt Savanna and Devon Klass of Hamburg, along with several cousins; Graciem Tyler, Mylee, Toni, Jed, Devon, Brynlee, Autumn, Ryker, Owsley, Viola, Germaniey Leahonna, Dillon and Sawyer.

Colden was preceded in death by his great grandparents; Jim and Daisy Swan, great grandfather; Carl Nord, great grandfather; Michael Pulley, great grandparents; Joe and Vicki Kelley, great grandfather; Joe Lee and his Aunt Misty Kelley.   

However brief Colden’s time was here with us, he brought his family so much joy and happiness, he will forever and always will be an angel now watching over us.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.
