Christian Schwarz

Christian Richard Schwarz, age 16, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his home in Highland, IL.

He was born on April 28, 2009, in Breese, IL, the son of Kevin and Kristina (nee Spihlmann) Schwarz.

Christian was born in Breese, Illinois, and grew up northeast of Grantfork on the family farm. He attended All Saints Academy and was currently a junior at Mater Dei High School. Christian was a member of Materi Dei FFA, as well as their Chaplain. He was also a member of Grand Prairie 4-H and St. Gertrude Catholic Church. Christian loved working on cars, trucks, and tractors; and antiquing. He enjoyed working on the family farm and going hunting.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL.

Interment will be at St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Grantfork, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gertrude Catholic Church or Materi Dei FFA.
