Cheryl Cresswell, 69, passed away at 3:18am on Monday, March 1, 2021, at her residence. She was born on July 26, 1951, in Alton IL, the daughter of the late Luther and Mary Felton. She married John Cresswell on November 8, 1980, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Jordan Cresswell of Imperial, Missouri, Kathy and Aaron Whitford of Dearborn, Missouri, three sons and daughters in law: Chris and Angela Wood of Bethalto, Ryan and Krista Wood of Bethalto, Aaron Cresswell of Bethalto, five grandchildren: Mickey Wood, Lillie Wood, Matthew Wood, Trinity Whitford, Kris Whitford, her sister: Linda Stephen of East Alton, and many other extended family and friends.
Cheryl was employed at the State of Illinois as a social worker until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials are suggested to the American Liver Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
