Charles M. Crays, 64, of Carlinville, IL, died at his residence on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 7:50 pm.
He was born October 24, 1961, in Carlinville, IL to Charles J. Crays & Dorothy Louise Johnston Crays. He married Darla K. Hankins Crays in Carlinville, IL.
He was retired after having been an iron worker. Charles was a member of the Carlinville Moose Lodge and Carlinville Masonic Lodge. Charles enjoyed helping others.
He is survived by his spouse, Darla Crays of Carlinville, IL, step children, Crystal (Clint) Downs of LA, Toby (Denni) Paxton of LA, Joey Paxton of LA, grandson, Sawyer Downs, brother, Robert L. (Lettie) Crays of Carlinville, IL, sisters, Linda L. Crays of Waggoner, IL, Julie Ann Crays of Waggoner, IL and nephew, Matthew Crays.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospital, Carlinville Moose Lodge or Carlinville Masonic Lodge.
