Celina “Tiny” Gildersleeve, 88, passed away at 9:23 pm Monday, May 7, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born on May 29, 1923 in Maryville, the daughter of Alex & Marie (Venel) Lacout.
She married Charles Gildersleeve on August 12, 1975. He survives
She worked for the East Alton Police Department as a record clerk and retired in 1985 and was an avid member of Leisure World.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Ken & Sue Snider of Marble Falls, TX; Renee Berry of Bethalto, Michelle Dallas of Sanford, FL., a step-daughter Linda Wilkinson of Edwardsville; six grandchildren, Darrin Snider and Valerie Snider, both of Indianapolis, Dustin Berry of Bethalto, Paige Berry of Bethalto, Alexis Dallas of Sanford, FL, Blake Dallas of Sanford, FL; a great-grand daughter Courtney Snider at home and a sister, Marie Zakrzewski.
Her first husband George Snider preceded her in death; a daughter Susan Snider also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday with Pastor Willard Meyer officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
