Carolyn Estes

Carolyn Sue Estes, age 70, of Alton, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.She was born June 2, 1945, in Brighton, the daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Cloninger) Willard. She married James Estes on June 6, 1963 and he survives.Carolyn was a graduate of Alton High School. Bible study was her passion.In addition to her husband, James; she is survived by three children and a daughter-in-law, James T. and Pamela Estes Jr. of East Alton, Teresa McCollum of Alton, and Julie Estes of Brighton; a sister, Bonna Dale Gillespie of East Alton; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gene Willard.Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor Charles West officiating.Burial will take place in Valhalla Memorial Park.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com or www.facebook.com/eliaskallalandschaaf.
