Carol Ann Davis, 87, of Granite City, IL, passed away Mon. Dec. 29, 2025 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
She was born Aug. 16, 1938 in Granite City to the late David R. and Mary Jane (Hardin) Davis.
Carol married Loren Davis Feb. 24, 1962. He preceded her in death Jul. 20, 2018.
Carol started her working career as a flight attendant for TWA out of Kansas City and had flown on The Constellation. She also worked various secretarial positions over the years. She and Loren owned and operated Davis Funeral Home in Granite City for many years until Loren’s passing and the closure of the funeral home. They were both longtime members of First Presbyterian Church in Granite City.
She is survived by her daughter, Megan J. (Jim) Travis of Bridgeton, MO, 2 grandchildren, Hannah J. (Brendan) Hawse, and Evan J. Travis, and her brother, William D. Davis of Washington, MO.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David L. Davis.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Tues. Jan. 6, 2026 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Granite City or to Coordinated Youth and Human Services.
