Calvin Bruce Greer, 71, of Gillespie, IL, died at his residence on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was born April 15, 1953, in Wood River, IL to James Greer & Georgia Farley Greer. He married Jody Kay (Meyer) Greer on September 15, 1973 in Jerseyville, IL. He was a machinist for Echlin, Litchfield, IL. Calvin enjoyed motorcycles, camping and working on cars. He is survived by his wife, Jody Greer of Gillespie, IL, children, Brandy (Wally) Ottersburg of Gillespie, IL, Aaron Greer of Wilsonville, IL, son-in-law, Shad Schoen of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Devon (Kristin) Schoen of Litchfield, IL, Jordan (Alex) Hinsey of Benld, IL, Alex Ottersburg of Gillespie, IL, Cannon Greer of Wilsonville, IL, Callie Greer of Wilsonville, IL and 7 great grandchildren. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Dawn Schoen, siblings, Lynda Golenor, Amanda March, Dennis Greer, Lonnie Greer and Larry Greer. No public services are scheduled.
