Brian Kyle Cox, 48, of Rockbridge, died peacefully June 8, 2026 surrounded by family at home. He was born, August 11, 1977 in Jacksonville, to Brian K. Cox and Janet Northrop Kirbach. He married Brandie Blasa October 15, 2011 in Chesterfield, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kylie Paige, Dylan Michael, Jacob Wayne, and Henry Dale, his brothers, Todd (Jamie) Clark and Ben Cox, his step-brothers, Jason (Melissa), Donny, and Collin Yates, his brother-in-law Clayton Blasa and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Karen Blasa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brian and step-mother Ruby, his paternal grandparents, Paul and Joann Cox, his maternal grandparents, Larry Northrop and Bethene Hatcher and his maternal great-grandmother, Granny Faye Northrop. And Iin-law grandparents, Alma and Harry Martin, Norman and Carol Dickerman, Judy Gerson, David Blasa.
Kyle co-owned and operated KCL Builders with business partner Levi Hillis. He coached his children’s summer league sports teams and coached Pee Wee and Jr. High basketball for the Greenfield Northwestern Tigers and was an active Tiger Backer. He was an avid welder and enjoyed working on demo derby cars. He loved music, camping with family and friends, motorcycle riding and hunting. He was a very knowledgeable man. His greatest love was being surrounded by his family and friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.
As per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held from 10 am until time of memorial service at 12 noon, Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield where he was a member.
