Brenda Joyce, 79, passed away from cancer at home on July 6th, with her family by her side.
She was born in Eldred, Illinois, on June 08, 1943.
She was a homemaker and worked at Jerseyville hospital. Was loved by many and was known to turn a cup of coffee into a party. She had such a strong faith that if she met you one time, she prayed for you forever.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Renee Cummings(Gina Cardillo), 1 son, Tim Cummings(Carolyn Cummings), 2 granddaughters, Ashley Cummings, and Hanna Turner(Zac Craig), 1 grandson, James Turner, and 1 great grandson, Turner Johnson, 2 sisters, Wanda Freand of Jerseyville, and Betty Denham of Eldred.
In addition to her parents, Norma and Harvey Lacey, she was preceded in death by, her husband, Luther Atchison, 2 sons, Jasper and Robert Cummings, 2 sisters, Gladys Dobey and Carolyn Buchanan, and 3 brothers, Dennis, David and Kevin Lacey. Per her wishes, no public service was held.
