Billy Hefner, age 49, passed away suddenly at Gateway Medical Center in Granite City.
He was born on July 19, 1968 in Highland, the son of William Doyle Hefner II and Patricia Jane (Schaffer) Hefner.
Billy married Wendy Sue Wiemers on October 25, 2013 at Gordon Moore Park. She survives.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, worked at Granite City Terminal and was also an avid motor cycle and car enthusiast and avid Rock and Roll enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Josie Hefner of Troy, a son William Robert Hefner of Troy; four step-children, Dustin, Joshua, Jeffrey and Kelsey Boner; one brother, Robert Hefner of Granite City, and three grandchildren, Kynlee Shannon Boner, Karsyn Alexandra Boner, and Layla Mae Boner; and he was expecting a baby boy grandson in October. He also survived by several family member in Lounds, MO.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Visitation will be Friday July 6, 2018 from 4 pm until time of memorial service at 7 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Mark Hofferber officiating.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or School or the American Cancer Society.
