Billy Gene Robinett, 86, passed away 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Jerseyville Manor.
Born in Jefferson City, MO on December 7, 1929, he was the son of Alta Robinett Atteberry.
A Korean War Air Force veteran, he worked as a laborer for Local 338 and was a scrap metal dealer before retiring in 1994.
He married Dorothy Smith on November 17, 1961. She preceded in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeanie (Mike) Glass of Fieldon; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Herren, Jessica Boehmer; four great grandchildren, Javin Schmidt, Adriana Schmidt, Dorothy Boehmer, Logan Boehmer; brother, Larry Kinter of Jefferson City, MO; four sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Hope Summit, MO, Faye Todd of Jefferson City, MO, Glenda Gilpin of Hayward, CA, Linda Todd of New Bloomfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his mother, wife and sister, Pat Wheat.
Visitation will be fro 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Monday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Michael Southcombe will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
