Beverly Scott

Beverly Scott, age 76 of Pocahontas, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Greenville. 

Funeral 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Donnell - Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.  Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.  Memorials are asked to be made to the family or online www.donnellwiegand.com on Beverly's Tribute Wall.

Beverly Jo, the daughter of Gordon Lamoine and Ruby (Caulk) Green, was born September 30, 1947, in Highland, Illinois.  Beverly grew up in Old Ripley, attended the public schools, and graduated from Greenville High School.  She was a life-long resident of Old Ripley.

Serving others was Beverly’s calling in life.  She owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years.  Beverly worked for the New Douglas and Highland School Districts in the cafeteria as a cook.  She loved being around and serving the kids.  Beverly worked there until last year when her health prevented her from continuing.

Beverly was the mother of Laura Ohren, who passed away in 2006, and Thomas Eugene II “TJ” Scott of Greenville who survives.  Loving grandmother of Emily and Kody, who passed away with their mother, father, and grandmother in an automobile accident in 2006.
