Avery Cooper

Avery Cooper, 80, of Gillespie, IL, died at his residence on June 28, 2023 at 6:33pm.  He was born May 24, 1943, in Saint Louis, MO.  He was a retired master sergeant  from the US Army after having served from 1961-1989.  He loved dogs, fishing, golfing and sailing.  He is survived by his children, MaryAlice Cooper of Gillespie, IL, Teddy (Shannon) Cooper of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Gabriel Melchert, Orion Hoffman.  Remains will be cremated with remains to be interred in Camp Butler Cemetery.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.
